Katsav meets with wife for 1st time since incarceration

Former president of Israel and convicted rapist Moshe Katsav met with his wife for the first time since he began his incarceration two months ago, Channel 10 reported on Friday.
Katsav was convicted in March by the Tel Aviv District Court to seven years in prison and a two-year suspended sentence for the rape and sexual harassment of women who worked for him while he served as president and as a cabinet minister.
Katsav had previously refused to meet with his family while wearing his orange prisoner's uniform. Last week, he met with his brother for the first time after agreeing to a compromise that allowed him to wear a prison service coat during the visit instead of the uniform. The former president wore the coat on Friday as well.
