Katz: Israel approaching a 'decision point' in Gaza, resolution or war

Intelligence Minister Israel Katz announced his position on the proposed ceasefire between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, in a post to Twitter Sunday morning.

"The situation in Gaza is approaching a decision point: resolution or war," said Katz.

"I will present my 'artificial island' plan to cut all civil connection between Israel and Gaza today," Katz continued, referring to the planned cabinet discussion of the ceasefire. "I will support any plan that includes establishing Egyptian infrastructure on land and sea for Gaza — under international supervision."

"In the short-term, any aid to Gaza must be given on the condition of the return of our prisoners and fallen soldiers," he said.
