Kerry says US wants to see N. Korea take steps for peace

DOHA - US Secretary of State John Kerry said in Qatar on Tuesday that Washington hopes North Korea will engage in negotiations to resolve world concerns instead of threatening to abrogate the armistice agreement.
Kerry was responding to a question on North Korea's threat made on Tuesday to scrap the accord that ended the 1950-53 civil war and sever a military "hotline" with the United States if South Korea and Washington pressed on with two-month-long war games.
