Police are searching for a suspected assailant who allegedly tried to stab a soldier at the entrance to the Sde Dov airport and military base in north Tel Aviv on Tuesday.

There were no injuries in the incident.

Police say the suspect approached a soldier manning the security gate at the entrance. After the suspect pulled a knife, the soldier escaped. The would-be assailant fled the scene and a police manhunt is underway.
