A man in his 30s was shot dead Saturday evening in Ashkelon.

The victim’s identity is unknown, but he is said to have been a known criminal. Magen David Adom discovered him on Ort Street with multiple gunshot wounds to his torso.

After attempting resuscitation, paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene. The victim had been staying at his mother’s house, and went down to the street following a phone call. The police is investigating the case.
