Labor leader Avi Gabbay informed Meretz head Tamar Zandberg that his party will not team up with Meretz for the upcoming elections. Earlier Thursday Zandberg said she pursued a left-wing alliance to strengthen her base, but that Gabbay was not answering her phone calls. Gabbay said that a joint run would cost both parties seats and not improve their standing for the elections.
