Lapid: Loss of Rabbi Yosef leaves a great hole in the world of Torah

Finance Minister Yair Lapid and his Yesh Atid party sent condolences to the family of Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, who passed away Monday at the age of 93.

Lapid said in a statement that "Rabbi Yosef was one of the molders of the Chief Rabbinate in Israel and one of the great religious adjudicators, and his absence leaves a great hole in the world of Torah. May his memory be blessed."
