Yesh Atid leader Yair Lapid expressed concern Wednesday following a White House statement in opposition to increasing aid for Israel's missile defense program.

"The White House's message this morning underlines the need to reach an agreement on an aid package as soon as possible, while maintaining our security interests," Lapid said in a statement.

Lapid stressed the need to "rehabilitate" the ties with Washington "without waiting for the next administration."
