The Lebanese army published a statement Sunday evening regarding the activities of the IDF within Operation Northern Shield. They expressed that their "army units spread out in the area are doing reinforced patrols and all of the processes required are being carried out in accordance with UN forces acting in Lebanon."

"This is in order to keep track of the security status along the Blue Line," they continued. "Our forces are totally prepared to care for any emergency situation."
