Left-wing parties Meretz and Labor both accused Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu of working deliberately toward the pending bankruptcy and closure Channel 10.

Last week, Channel 10 announced it would dismiss all its employees in advance of final closure of the channel at the end of the month. The firings, which were supposed to have taken place on Saturday, were delayed by 48 hours with the hopes that a solution for the channel could be found in that time period.
