MK Tzipi Hotovely (Likud) was engaged to be married on Saturday night.

Hotovely, 34, the highest-ranking woman on the Likud list for the incoming Knesset, and the youngest-ever MK at the time of her swearing in, was subject to much speculation in the religious-Zionist press about her love life during her four years as a lawmaker.

In January, a joke she made on the satirical TV show Wonderful Country about getting married was taken seriously, and rumors spread on the Internet about her impending nuptials. On Saturday night, it really happened.

The lucky man is Or Alon, a 30-year-old lawyer from Kohav Yair, who is Orthodox, like Hotovely.
