Livni: US stands by Israel in Turkey, Egyptian crises

Opposition leader Tzipi Livni said that the United States stands behind Israel in the "hardest of moments," including the current diplomatic crisis with Turkey and the attack on the Israeli embassy in Cairo.

Livni said that the ongoing Israel-Palestinian crisis was pushing Israel into an increasingly isolated position, that is being viewed throughout the region, in the US, and in Europe, adding that she did not want to see the Israel-Palestinian issue being used as a campaigning tool in the upcoming Egyptian elections.

She said Israel must "give the US the tools to enter in and work on Israel's behalf."
