At least two people were killed in a traffic accident Tuesday afternoon following a serious collision on Highway 25 near the southern town of Moshav Nevatim, according to a MDA spokesperson.

Two others were also hurt in the crash, one said to be in serious condition while the other sustaining moderate injuries.

Paramedics arrived to the scene of the accident and discovered a 40-year-old man along with a 15-year-old youth trapped inside the wreckage of an automobile. Emergency medical practitioners attempted to provide medical care to the injured motorist before evacuating them to Soroka University Medical Center in Beersheba.

Both patients later died due to the severity of their injuries, MDA added.

A 12-year-old girl also sustained critical injuries to her chest and abdomen and was being treated at the same facility.

A 30-year-old involved in the traffic accident was in moderate condition with a injury to his chest.
