A man was shot and seriously wounded at the entrance to the Western Wall in Jerusalem on Friday morning, according to police.

According to Magen David Adom, a security guard shot a young Jewish man in the public restroom at the Western Wall after the youth yelled "Allahu Akbar" and took an object out of his pocket.

Police were investigating the circumstances of the incident.
