MI head: By the end of 2009, Iran will be able to build bomb

Israel's military intelligence chief on Tuesday said that from the end of 2009 an Iranian nuclear bomb will be a matter of a decision on Teheran's part, rather than a matter of technological ability. Israel Radio reported that in a meeting with the Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, Brigadier-General Yossi Baidatz said that while Iran's behavior had been cautious, it was continuing to build its nuclear power. Baidatz added that the atmosphere in the international community was that of accepting that the Islamic republic would eventually have nuclear weapons.
