MKs request placing first defense system batteries in south

A team of MKs from the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee has requested from the government to put the first two batteries of the Iron Dome mobile air defense system in southern Israel, Israel Radio reported Wednesday.  The Mks requested an immidiate answer on the issue.
Team chairman Amir Peres (Labor) has said that the minimum investment in the missile defense system is $5.3 billion, but added that the return on the investment will be seen in fewer days needed for combat.
