In Monday night’s local Premier League soccer action, Tal Ben Haim (11) and Maccabi Tel Aviv moved eight points clear atop the standings with a 2-0 victory over second-place Hapoel Beersheba at Bloomfield Stadium.

With just eight games remaining in the season, it appears as if the yellow-and-blue are on their way to a second straight championship. Barak Badash scored both goals against Beersheba for Maccabi, which has now won 16 of its past 19 games, suffering just a single defeat over that stretch.
