A magnitude 6.4 earthquake hit Papula New Guinea's New Britain island, 186 miles (300km) east of Kandrian, on Saturday, the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said.
The quake struck at 1130 GMT at a depth of 33 km, the Center added.
