Malfunction caused gas leak in Haifa Bay, no special instructions to the public

During the night, the Association of Towns for the Protection of the Environment in the Haifa Bay received complaints about smell in the Bay Area.

The union's engines and the Environmental Protection Ministry went to the area and the tests indicate that there is a gas leak in the pipeline between two plants. Workers are currently handling the problem.

An examination on the impact on air quality in the region will be undertaken. At present time, there are no special instructions for residents of the area.
