Man accused of killing mother in stabbing rampage remanded

Kiryot Magistrate's Court on Tuesday extended the remand of the man accused of stabbing his mother to death as part of a rampage in which he also allegedly stabbed his girlfriend and two other people in Kiryat Ata on Monday.

The court ruled that Roy Ohana, 25, be detained for ten days for psychiatric observation.

The court denied Ohana's request to attend the funeral of his mother scheduled for Tuesday afternoon.
