Man critically wounded after being shot in north Tel Aviv

Emergency medical services on Friday reported that a man suffered critical gunshot wounds in north Tel Aviv.

Volunteers with the Hatzalah ambulance service tried to resuscitate the man after receiving reports of an incident on Yunicman Street.

The victim was rushed to hospital after suffering gunshot wounds to his upper body. Police are combing the area in search of the gunman.

Authorities say that the incident is not connected to the shooting on Dizengoff Street, a few miles south, in which at least two people were killed and seven others wounded.
