Man sentenced to 4 years for raping 16-year-old hitchhiker

A man convicted of raping a 16-year-old girl while she was hitchhiking in 2009 was sentenced to four years in prison by the Jerusalem District Court on Wednesday. The man, Leon Kabasa, was also ordered to pay NIS 30,000 in restitution to the girl.
According to the prosectution, Kabasa stopped for the girl who was trying to reach her home in the Jerusalem area, but drove to the moshav where he lived and raped her.
