Man struck by vehicle, killed on Route 70 in Haifa area

A man was hit by a vehicle and killed at the Elyakim Junction on Route 70 in the Haifa area on Monday morning.

MDA paramedics pronounced the approximately 25-year-old man dead on the scene.

Police opened an investigstion into the circumstances of the incident. It is believed that the man may have been involved in a minor accident and therefore been standing on the shoulder of the highway when he was hit by a passing vehicle.
