The month of May 2013 was a record-breaking month for tourism to Israel, reported on Sunday.

According to the English language site on Israel for tourists, some 336,000 visitors arrived in Israel in May 2013.

This was five percent up on May 2012. Of these, 283,000 were tourists staying more than one night - eleven percent more than May 2010. There were some 241,000 entries via air, reported, with 42,000 tourists arriving through the border crossings.

Since the start of 2013, 1.4 million visitors have arrived in Israel, according to the site's statistics.
