WARSAW - Pawel Adamowicz, the mayor of the Polish city of Gdansk, has died after being stabbed onstage at a Polish charity event, Poland's health minister said on Monday. 'We couldn't win,' Lukasz Szumowski told local press, according to private broadcaster TVN.
