Around two million Muslim pilgrims on Sunday set out from Islam's holy city of Mecca to commence the annual Hajj pilgrimage, AFP reported. To ensure the pilgrims' safety, Saudi Arabia has deployed more than 100,000 soldiers, according to the report.
