Monitor: Blast hits top meeting of Islamist group in Syria

BEIRUT - A number of people were killed or wounded by an explosion at a meeting of leaders of an Islamist insurgent group in Syria on Tuesday, according to a group that monitors violence in the Syrian civil war.
The leader of the Ahrar al-Sham group, Hassan Aboud, was at the gathering in the northwestern province of Idlib, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported. Syrian state TV reported that he had been killed.
