Mount Hermon closes to visitors due to heavy snow

The storm system that has brought rain to most areas of the country has covered Mount Hermon in a layer of snow. Snow continued to fall on the peak on Friday morning causing the site to close its gates to visitors.
As of Friday morning, 25 centimeters of the white stuff had accumulated on the top of the mountain and 15 centimeters piled up at its base.
