NYU to establish institute at TAU

New York University is expected to establish a research institute at Tel Aviv University starting next academic year, as part of a network of about a dozen research centers that the American university operates worldwide.
The institute will focus on various areas of study including exact sciences, life sciences, law, humanities and the arts, among others. Researchers from Tel Aviv will travel to New York City and joint projects are expected to be conducted.
Ra’anan Rein, vice president of Tel Aviv University, said that the move should serve as “a springboard to expand cooperation between the two universities.”
