Net migration to Britain falls to lowest in more than 2 years

LONDON - Net migration to Britain in the year to September 2016 was 273,000, official data showed on Thursday, a fall of 49,000 on the previous year and the lowest figure recorded in more than two years.

The Office for National Statistics said net migration of European Union citizens during the period, the first to include the three months following last year's June vote to leave the bloc, was 165,000, a drop of 6,000 on the previous year.
