Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu weighed in on a possible ceasefire with Hamas after last week's violence, saying Israel needs a complete cessation of hostilities before a cabinet meeting on Sunday.

"It will not end in one strike.
Our demand is a total ceasefire, we will not settle for less," the prime minister said.

"I will not reveal our operational plans, but they are ready," added Netanyahu. "Our goal is to achieve quiet for the residents of the south, and this goal will be achieved"
