Netanyahu: All embassies in Israel should be in Jerusalem

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu clarified on Sunday that the Israeli government holds the position that the US embassy in the country should be in Jerusalem.

Speaking at the weekly cabinet meeting, the premier made the remarks in reference to new US President Donald Trump's controversy-raising pledge to move the American mission in Israel from Tel Aviv to the capital. "I want to be clear, the embassy should be in Jerusalem," he stated.

"Not only does the American embassy need to be in Jerusalem, but all embassies need to be, and I believe that in due time they will come to the capital," Netanyahu added.
