Brazilian president-elect Bolsonaro surprised Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife, Sarah, on Saturday afternoon by joining an event with the Jewish community in a Rio de Janeiro synagogue. 'At this moment, a moment of the first visit of an Israeli prime minister to Brazil, I am honored to tell you that we will soon host the president of Brazil, a friend of Israel, Javier Bolsonaro, in Jerusalem,' said Netanyahu. Bolsonaro added that 'we are opening a new era in our relationship and making history. Our common future will be excellent.'
