The events that took place at the Western Wall Wednesday do not contribute to an advancement in negotiations, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a statement Wednesday. Netanyahu had stressed on Tuesday that leaders of non-Orthodox movements need to open dialogue. 'Unilateral violation of the status quo at the Western Wall hurts our ongoing effort to reach a compromise,' the statement added.
