Netanyahu bars all MKs, ministers from visiting Temple Mount

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Wednesday that all members of the Knesset - Jewish and Arab - and government ministers would not be allowed to visit the Temple Mount in the wake of recent violence that has raised tensions throughout Israel and the West Bank.

Netanyahu adopted the measure after convening the security cabinet Wednesday evening. Senior policy-makers made the recommendation in an effort to avoid a "dangerous provocation" that could set off a "powder keg."
