Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met Thursday evening with IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Benny Gantz at the Kirya military headquarters in Tel Aviv, for a ceremony to mark the end of Gantz's military service.

During the Prime Minister's remarks, he commented on the increasing presence of Hezbollah fighters on the Syrian-Israel border.

"I know you left an army that is up to all of these challenges. One of them is taking place before our eyes: that thousands of Hezbollah fighters are in Syria, flowing into soutner Syria as well, opposite our border, under Iranian guidance. We are aware of all of these challenges and the army you left behind is up to the task," said Netanyahu.
