The most dangerous regime should not have the most dangerous weapons, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said, commenting on last week's chemical weapons attack in Damascus, at the opening of the weekly cabinet meeting on Sunday.
"Our hearts go out to the women and children who were attacked in such a cruel way with weapons of mass destruction. The situation in Syria must not be allowed to continue," he said.
He also assured that Israel "would always know how to defend" itself.
