Avigdor Liberman, the outgoing foreign minister who will take his six-seat Yisrael Beytenu faction into the opposition, received indications from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that he might be willing to install him as defense minister if he reverses his decision against joining the government, Channel 2 is reporting on Friday.

Liberman shocked political observers this past week when he announced that he would not be joining Netanyahu’s coalition, which currently stands with a razor-thin majority of 61 seats.
