Michael Malkieli was sworn in as an MK from Shas Wednesday, replacing Interior Minister Arye Deri, who resigned from the legislature earlier this week. Malkieli, 34, was a member of the Jerusalem City Council, who held the haredi sports portfolio and was an adviser to Religious Affairs Minister David Azoualy.
