The New York Police Department made several deployments Friday around Manhattan out of "an abundance of caution" following the wave of terror attacks in Paris.

The NYPD has mobilized its counter-terrorism resources to crowded areas caution to provide police presence, and public reassurance. Specific deployments at French government locations in New York City, have also been made.

NYPD Intelligence Bureau Detectives in France were conducting liaison activities to assist the Paris Police in any way possible, while keeping the NYPD updated on the on-going situation.
