A woman was sexually assaulted by two different men in separate incidents over the course of an hour in an affluent area of Brooklyn, police said on Friday.

The New York Police Department released a video of one of the suspects in the early morning assaults on Aug. 31 walking briskly near the site of the second attack in the New York City borough.Police said the assaults occurred in the Clinton Hill neighborhood of north Brooklyn, where 146 rapes had been reported in 2014 by late August. That was a decline of about 16 percent compared with the same time the year before, according to police data.

The incidents occurred outside two different apartment buildings, separated by a few blocks, just after 5 a.m., police said. In both cases, the attackers told the woman they had guns before forcing her onto the ground and assaulting her, but they did not draw out weapons, police said.

The men are described as being either African-American or Latino with light complexions. One was about 5 feet and 7 inches tall, wearing blue jeans and a red T-shirt, and the other was 6 feet tall and about 170 pounds.
