New bill calls for just one chief rabbi of Israel

A new proposed bill calls for the nullification of the traditional decision to appoint one chief Ashkenazi rabbi and one chief Sephardic rabbi, and instead to appoint just one head rabbi for all of Israel, Army Radio reported Thursday.
The bill, initiated by MK Moshe Feiglin (Likud Beytenu) was also supported by MK Dov Lipman (Yesh Atid).
