A new terrorist faction announced it has been participating in the recent flare in attacks on Israeli towns and cities in close to the Gazan border, Palestinian news channel Ma'an reported Sunday.

Marwan Haddid divison of the Abdullah Azzam Brigades in the Levant, as it is called, claimed responsibility Sunday for firing a grad missile at Ashkelon and two homemade projectiles at the Zekim military base.

Another new group, according to Ma'an, called the At Tawhid and Al Jihad Beit Al-Maqdis claimed responsibility for three mortars fired towards the Nahal Oz military base.
