Noam Schalit, father of abducted soldier Gilad Schalit, attended the Likud's faction meeting in the Knesset on Monday, and implored Likud leader and Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to do everything to secure Gilad's release from Hamas captivity.
In response, Netanyahu said that bringing Gilad home was a top priority, which he considered his own and his government's responsibility.
He also stressed that he intended to bring the topic up in his upcoming meetings with Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi and French President Nicolas Sarkozy.
Monday marks the third year since Gilad Schalit's abduction.
