Sonia Gomes de Mesquita, the acting CEO of World ORT, has been tapped by the World Jewish Congress to serve as the global Jewish organization’s head of international programs.

She left the organization, which bills itself as “the world's largest Jewish education and vocational training” NGO after 14 years, according to World ORT.

Moti Dotan, the chairman of World ORT Kadima Mada, said that he was sorry to see de Mesquita go and that she had always done her work “brilliantly.”
