Obama: US will support orderly move to democracy in Egypt

US President Barack Obama on Thursday stated that the US is closely monitoring the situation in Egypt, telling a crowd of university students in northern Michigan, "We are witnessing history unfold."

"A moment of transformation is taking place because the people are calling for change," said Obama

"Young people are at the forefront, a new generation who wants their voices heard," he continued. "America will continue to do all we can to support an orderly and genuine transition to democracy in Egypt."
