WASHINGTON - US President Barack Obama will meet with Jordan's King Abdullah at the White House at 6:00 p.m. EST (2300 GMT), the White House said in a statement.

The meeting was added to Obama's schedule. The president earlier expressed condolences to the people of Jordan after the death of a Jordanian hostage at the hands of Islamic State militants.
