One Republic performed in front of 20,000 fans in Hayarkon Park in Tel Aviv on Thursday in their first performance in Israel.

"I know how hard it is to bring a new act here, I know how many people cancel on you and that's bulls**t," said lead singer Ryan Tedder. "Where we grew up we don't take sides, we just love people, good people.

The band promised to return to Israel with a new record to share.
