One man, one boy killed in separate car accidents within the hour

One adult and one child were killed within the hour Sunday afternoon during separate car accidents in Jerusalem and Highway 65.

The first incident involved an eight-year-old boy who was killed after being hit by a bus while riding his bicycle on Samuel Hanavi St. in the nation's capital. The incident occurred at approximately 2:20 pm.

The second incident occurred less than an hour later when a 40-year-old man was killed after his vehicle struck a truck in a head-on collision on Highway 65 located in the North.

A 7-year-old boy was also injured in the incident and was evacuated to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
