Oscar Oren, 20, was indicted on Thursday at the Tel Aviv District Court for the murder of his former employer, Netanel Dotan Mangami. According to the charge sheet, Oren was employed by Mangami as a courier at his photocopying store on Arlozorov Street in Ramat Gan until April 2008. During his investigation, Oren claimed that Mangami didn't pay him his full wages, and owed him NIS 2,600. On September 7, Oren arrived at Mangami's store and demanded the money. A heated argument ensued, following which Oren stabbed Mangami a number of times in the torso. A Magen David Adom intensive care unit evacuated Mangami in serious condition to Tel Aviv's Ichilov Hospital, where he died of his wounds. Police said Oren is a known criminal with a history of violence. He was arrested several times in the past for owning a knife. The prosecution on Thursday asked the court to extend Oren's remand until the end of the proceedings.
